Martha moved to Olympia from Chicago to study ecology at the Evergreen State College. After graduating from Evergreen she moved on to complete a four year Traditional Chinese Medicine degree at the Academy of Classical Oriental Sciences in Nelson BC Canada. Martha is continuously looking to deepen her understanding of the medicine she practices. She is currently in her second year of apprenticeship with local herbalist Joyce Netishen.
Martha was drawn back to Olympia following graduation for the amazing community and a love of the Pacific Northwest forests.
