Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a Modality in Chinese medicine in which hair thin needles are inserted into key areas of the body for therapeutic benefits ranging from pain relief to treating various physical, mental, and emotional conditions. The National Institutes of Health (NIH)  has acknowledged acupuncture as an effective therapy for a wide range of health conditions. Hundreds of clinical studies on the benefits of acupuncture show that it successfully treats conditions ranging from musculoskeletal problems (back pain, neck pain, and others) to nausea, migraine headache, anxiety, depression, insomnia, and infertility. Acupuncture is near pain-free and can produce sensations of relaxation, relief, and even euphoria. Acupuncture is an excellent tool for navigating periods of growth and change.

 Craniosacral therapy

Cranial sacral therapy (also known as craniosacral therapy or CST) is a gentle, noninvasive form of bodywork that addresses the bones of the head, spinal column and sacrum. It was pioneered and developed by Osteopathic Doctor John Upledger in the 1970’s. CST techniques are used to increase resistance to disease and is effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction, including: Migraine Headaches. Chronic Neck and Back Pain. The goal is to release compression in shoulders, head, and neck which alleviates stress and pain.

 Chinese herbal medicine

Chinese Herbal Medicine (CHM) is an ancient system of health care that has grown and changed over time. We use herbs that can be found throughout Asia and North America to treat a broad spectrum of physical and mental illness. All herbal medicines used at my Acupuncture Clinic are the highest quality available. Chinese herbs can be prescribed in different forms. I primarily use concentrated herbal granules and tinctures. This makes it easy for you to take your herbs. When you take your herbs you simply add hot water and drink. Part of the beauty of Chinese Herbal Medicine is that all formulas can be tailored to you individual needs. This allows for flexibility in composition and dosage of the formulas prescribed which allows for all signs and symptoms of illness to be taken into account.
